The town belongs to the region Denuy Ribagorza. This term refers to the Pyrenean region between Aragon and Catalonia and groups several enclaves that root a rich and unique natural, historical and cultural environment.

Benasque

This valley is without doubt one of the most attractive of all the Pyrenees. Forests, rivers, lakes, canyons, springs, streams and Paleolithic samples of Romanesque art create a unique and picturesque setting that does not go unnoticed in the eyes of locals and visitors.

Roda de Isábena

Also called “Treasure Island “, Roda de Isabena , stands on a hill overlooking the valley that bears its name. Situated on the banks of the river Isabena between Serraduy plain, the Turbon massive, the Tozas of calvera and Los Morrones de Güell. The Cathedral Church of San Vicente is the jewel of Roda that retains, as its streets, it walls and arches, the most illustrious character of the High Middle Ages.

Torreciudad Sanctuary

Medieval documentation refers to “Civitatis” which later led to “Turris Civitatis” and was it was the stronghold that Muslims used to defend themselves from the Christian Forces during the Reconquista. The Sanctuary Torreciudad is the name of this secular prayer place where devotion to the Virgin Mary, was the object of Jose Maria Escriva de Balager. Headquarters of Opus Dei international.

Graus

Located in the south of the region of Robagorza , holds the honorary title “Very Noble and Very Old Town”. Data and testimonies are preserved dating from the the Paleolithic period (excavations Las Forcas close to “La pena del Morral), but the city met her heyday between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries that led to the construction of majestic palaces in its main square (Baron, de Heredia, Bardaxi, among others), which are still preserved.

Laspaules

The first mentionings of this place date back to the year 1143. It is located between Coll de Fades and Coll d’Espina. At the heart of this town we find characteristics of the architecture of the region which include irregular street maps and reddish hue of the façades of their buildings, such as La Casa del Ayuntamiento (XVI century) located in the town square. The parish church is another of Laspaules emblematic buildings, dating from the sixteenth century but built on Roman remnants.

Bonansa

Located in the valley of Ribagorzana Noguera along the ravine of La Mola, Bonanza is surrounded by beautiful vegetation in different tones. At its core we find extraordinary examples of the traditional architecture of the Pyrenees, such as the Casa Manero and the Casa Joaquin Maurin, from the sixteenth century.

Castanesa

Like many towns in the area, Castanesa is divided into two areas : Upper Castanese and Lower Castanesa, each with its church dedicated to San Martin (of Roman origin, was rebuilt in the XVI and XVIII) and Virgen de la Nova (XII century).

Villa Ainsa

Ainsi belongs to the Sobrabre and is considered one of the most important places of the Aragonese Pyrenees. The village of medieval origin, has an important historical and artistic heritage. The old town, the church and plaza date back to the twelfth century, monuments charachterized by the pure simplicity of the Romanesque Sobrarbe.

Alquézar

Belonging to the region of Somontano Barbastro, the village of alquezar is located in the last stretch of the river canyon Vero. A must see is the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, which dates back to an Arab fortress built in the ninth century; the Lookout “Smile of the Wind”, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the town; the Plaza Mayor; the shrine of Our Lady of the Snow and the Portada Gothica among other monuments.

Aigüerstortes

National Park Aigüestortes Sant Maurici was created on October 21, 1955, with an initial extent of 9851 hectares.
